What A Drag launch ‘Stay Home, Stay Proud’ bundle for drag performers under lockdown this Pride month

Stay Home, Stay Proud Bundle

Rainbow-coloured bundle will help raise money for National AIDS Trust

UK-based beauty supplier What A Drag has launched a ‘Stay Home, Stay Proud’ eyelashes bundle for drag performers who are stuck at home during pride month due to the UK’s coronavirus lockdown.

With physical Pride events cancelled around the world many will now take place online, so drag queens across the country will still need to look their best during Pride month.

The limited-edition bundle includes six pairs of lashes, one pair for each colour of the Pride flag rainbow.

Alongside the bundle, What A Drag will also be holding a #WhatADragRainbow competition on Instagram, challenging queens to do a look based on one of the colours from the flag.

What A Drag, run by LGBT couple Brad Williams and Dom Stapleton, will be donating a percentage of the profits made from the bundle to NAT (National AIDs Trust), a charity helping to transform the UK’s response to HIV.

Dom Stapleton, co-founder of What A Drag, said: “We know a lot of queens will be missing out on their usual Pride performances this year. So we wanted to offer them a little something to help lift people’s moods, spread the message of Pride, and raise money for a very worthy cause at the same time.”

“We chose NAT as it’s a charity we both strongly believe in, and we’ve already worked with them in the past. They’re a lovely bunch of people doing some really important work.”

Sharon Coleman from NAT added: “We are so pleased to have the support of What A Drag once again and can’t wait to see what everyone will do with these fabulous lashes. All charities are finding it tough during the coronavirus outbreak and the money raised by this bundle will help make sure we can still be there for people living with HIV in the UK, challenging discrimination and fighting to end HIV stigma. Thank you!”
